Multiport Ship Agencies Network has opened a new office in Spain (EU).

Multiport Ship Agencies Network is pleased to announce the opening of the new office in Madrid, Spain (EU). The new office will focus on the provision of operational and commercial services to the maritime industry. As the world’s largest independent network of agents, representing more than 3,000 Principals and handling over 130,000 calls annually, Multiport Ship Agencies Network will establish a new commercial strategy, following its Vision 2020 market approach.

The new office is located in Madrid city centre, in the Salamanca neighbourhood. The neighbourhood was developed in the second half of the nineteenth century as an expansion planned under Queen Isabella II’s rule. Barrio de Salamanca follows a regular grid pattern with parallel and perpendicular crossing streets. Historically, Salamanca has been a residential area inhabited mainly by Spain’s financial and political elite. In the past fifty years, it has attracted diplomats, businesspersons and, together with them, sophisticated fashion stores, considered as the golden mile.

The new office will become a single point of contact for all members and clients, with fully operational services and technologically geared up, fully at members disposal.

Iván Vallejo, Executive Director of Multiport Ship Agencies Network, said: “The opening of the new office in Madrid – Spain, represents the new vision and spirit of Multiport Ship Agencies Network, as part of our business strategy at this critical period of economic transformation. The new office will enable all members to create a cohesive and more solid international network. We will make use of our global network advantages, to provide commercial and operational strategic support to all our global members”.
